As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy
I love that quote! It is easy to utter the words, “thank you” but to express your gratitude in your actions is truly much more fulfilling. Nordic Village is giving thanks to all of our wonderful guests this year and we want you to know that we truly appreciate each and every one of you! We have been doing some wonderful promotions on Facebook and many last minute specials so please check back often to take advantage of our special rates.
The Mount Washington Valley is quite busy this November. Cranmore will start to make snow tonight in anticipation of a Thankgiving weekend opening. After our 6-10 inches of snow we received last week, everyone is quite excited for the ski season to begin. Eastern Slope Ski Club will have their 41st annual ski sale starting on Friday, November 11, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. & Saturday, November 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Conway Community Center, next to the Conway Scenic Railroad. If you need equipment, do not miss this sale. You will find incredible deals on new and used alpine, nordic and snowboard gear. The best part about this annual sale is that all proceeds go to the Eastern Slope Ski Club and to support the Junior Ski Program for the Mount Washington Valley.
Looking to sneak in some holiday shopping soon…we have a great Bargain Hunters package for you to take advantage of. This is an excellent value with a discounted room rate, a shopping bag filled with discount coupons and other goodies and time spent with family and friends. If you are planning on coming up the weekend of November 11 and 12, don’t miss out on the “bring a friend shopping event” at Settlers’ Green. Stores will open at 8 a.m. and they will have raffle giveaways of up to $250 in gift certificates throughout the day, belly dancing demonstration by Imari & the Sahara Desert Dancers, Hannaford sushi samples, tarot reading, free photo booth and free chocolate for costumed divas. Sounds like a good day spent with your BFF.
If anyone is staying around Boston Veterans Day weekend, stop by the Ski and Snowboard Expo show at the Seaport World Trade Center. We will have a booth there along with all of our friends at Cranmore, Black Mountain, Attitash, Wildcat and SkiNH. So if you are in the area, swing on by and say hello.
Shopping deals continue with Black Friday specials not only at Settlers’ Green but here at Nordic Village. Stay tuned on Friday morning for an email with a great deal from us, and it is only available on Friday, November 25. We will also have a posting on Facebook so make sure all of your friends “like” us so that they will also get the Facebook information. Settlers’ Green will open at 5 am. That is all stores! Free coffee will be served at Brandli’s Pizza and Wrapsody ‘N Greens from 5 am to 8 am. After eating your turkey dinner and pumpkin pie you feel as though you need to get some fresh air…Settlers’ Green will have a few stores open at midnight. They will be offering extreme discounts for those of you willing to shop at midnight. These stores will be open for all of you night owls (or crazy people) Aeropostale, Bass, Children’s Place, Claire’s, Gold Toe, Jockey, Journeys, Lane Bryant, Nike, Old Navy, OshKosh B’Gosh, Reebok, Rockport, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Van Heusen (go there first, raffle entry coffee and refreshments available) and Wilson Leather.
